Chelsea continued their dominant run in the League brushing aside Blackpool 4-0. Salomon Kalou tapped home from a corner in the 2nd minute followed by Florent Malouda’s strike from close range in the 12th to make it 2-0 for the Blues. Didier Drogba’s deflected strike made it 3-0 in the 30th before Malouda struck again in the 42nd for Chelsea’s fourth. The Blues could not continue with their rout in the second half thanks to some dogged Blackpool defense and missed chances in which Malouda spurned two opportunities to complete a hat-trick.In a rain-soaked DW stadium Manchester City got the better of Wigan Athletic 2-0 with Carlos Tevez providing the opener in the 43rd when from a long Joe Hart punt he clipped the ball over Wigan goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi.Tevez then took advantage of poor defending with a cross from the right for Yaya Toure who fired in the second in the 70th.
